Luminoth Vault Chambers are incredibly durable structures of Luminoth design. They are constructed of Luminoth super alloys and are indestructible by means of any known weapons systems. They work in conjunction with Luminoth Laser Turrets, aimed with Spinner systems, that will disengage the security of the vault chamber when fired at the hollows in the chamber simultaneously. When disengaged, a giant arm lifts the chamber away from the contents.

The only vault chamber Samus encounters is in the Vault of Sanctuary Fortress. When the vault chamber opens, Samus can claim the Screw Attack.
