To defeat it Samus has to scale the [[Spider Ball Track|Spider Ball Tracks]] up towards the bomb slots to deactivate them, avoiding the Power Bombs and the Inglets as she does. After Samus has deactivated the four slots, the Power Bomb Guardian will be crushed allowing Samus to reclaim her Power Bombs.

The Power Bomb Guardian is a boss from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It is a Darkling Sporb possessed by the Ing that stole Samus's Power Bomb ability. This possession has replaced the Sporbs' normal ability to fire toxic needles with the ability to launch Power Bombs as well as making it immune to all weapons in Samus's arsenal. The Power Bomb Guardian is vulnerable to extreme kinetic energy however.[1]

Battle[edit | edit source]

The battle takes place in the large, circular Undertemple. The Power Bomb Guardian is invulnerable to all of Samus's weaponry.
