Luminoth Statues are Luminoth built structures placed strategically in Luminoth strongholds throughout Aether.

Features[edit | edit source]

These statues are usually depictions of honored Luminoth or interactive sculptures that work in conjunction with Bomb Slots, Spinner devices, Magnetic Rail Tracks, or Luminoth Laser Emitters. They often feature luminescent detailing, elegantly mixing raw materials and energy-producing elements. The statues can take the form of full-body depictions or busts, and are often stylized. They usually wear single long horn, which might be some kind of armor or pleasing aesthetic addition.

While most statues are primarily decorative, some have a measure of functionality and can be manipulated to reach new areas, Missile Expansions, and other upgrades, most notably in the submerged temple of Torvus Bog. The Luminoth Temple Security Stations found in the Controller Access areas in Agon Wastes, Torvus Bog, and Sanctuary Fortress are also modeled after the Luminoth form.

Most of these statues have similar counterparts in Dark Aether, though they are non-functioning and often of a different color scheme.

Object analysis complete. This statue conceals a Luminoth device. Outer shell of the statue is composed of Brinstone. Explosive damange may weaken or destroy it.[1]

Depictions of Honored Dead[edit | edit source]

Among the dead that the Luminoth honored by erecting statues were their Warriors and their planetary Sentinels. The statues differ greatly in size and shape, undoubtedly both resembling their subjects and the preference of their artists.

Warriors[edit | edit source]

Depiction of E-Btr in Sanctuary Fortress

Statues of honored Luminoth Warriors are erected in the lands they defended, appearing in Agon Wastes, Torvus Bog, and Sanctuary Fortress, often looming over the entrances of their homelands.

Sentinels[edit | edit source]

Depictions of Q-Cis and J-Gnk as they appear on Dark Aether

The four Sentinels of Aether are preserved in larger-than-life sculptures in the Hall of Honored Dead in the Temple Grounds.
