The Gravity Boost is a small jet pack of Luminoth design that bonds with Samus's Dark Suit in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
Properties and Acquisition
Originally worn by the Champion of Aether,[1] this jet pack only functions underwater for use in rising to the surface with ease. The Gravity Boost's functions also include those of Metroid Prime's Gravity Suit, allowing Samus to move freely in water without being slowed down by its density. Contradictory to its function, in the battle with Quadraxis, Samus uses the Gravity Boost to escape the explosion of the head, despite the fact that it is only for use in water.
The Gravity Boost is obtained in Torvus Bog. It is acquired right before Samus fights the Alpha Blogg in the Main Hydrochamber. It lays specifically in the small Hydrochamber Storage room.
