The Polluted Mire is a room from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It has a large tree in the center of it, surrounded by several platforms. There is a platform underneath the tree at ground level with a Light Beacon at the center. Surrounding the tree is a large pool of Dark Water, but it is easily avoidable using the Space Jump Boots. At ground level at the very north of the room is a Blue Door leading to the Gloom Vista. At the top of the room, accessible using the platforms around the tree, at the eastern end is a Black Hatch leading to the Dark Falls.

When Samus first passes through the room, there are two Hunter Ing that rise from the Dark Water to attack her. After acquiring the Boost Ball, only one Hunter Ing attacks. There are several Ingsphere Caches in the room that can be used to recover Energy and/or ammo.
