Like all the temples on Aether, the temple is enormous. Within this space are several scaffolding platforms placed around components of an incomplete Quadraxis unit. Evidently, this room was used as a construction site by O-Lir, the Sentinel of the Temple, in his creation of Luminoth mechanoids. Whether this unit was meant to be a complement to the Quadraxis unit that ended up in the Hive, or was being built to combat it, is unclear.
Grapple Points and Spider Ball Tracks supplement the scaffolding platforms for navigation purposes. The way to the Workers Path is blocked by a Cobalt-encoded Translator Door, and the way to the Sentinel's Path is blocked by a Gray Hatch.
- "Hear the words of O-Lir, last Sentinel of the Fortress Temple. May they serve you well. This used to be a great fortress, a safe haven for our people during the war. It also holds portals to the Ing Hive, the heart of their dark tribe. During the war, I built a number of mechanical sentinels to join me in battle. They were made to fight the Ing, and fight them they did...for a time. One by one, the Ing corrupted them. Now, they attack with no mercy. Many went to Dark Aether with their Ing masters." —O-Lir (Metroid Prime 2: Echoes)
- "This is a component of an incomplete mechanoid. Design similarities exist between incomplete unit and the rogue mechanoids of Luminoth design found throughout this area." —Scan Data (Metroid Prime 2: Echoes)
