One end of the room has the Portal on a high ledge that can only be accessed using the [[Space Jump Boots]]. The other end of the room has two hallways leading to the connecting rooms. The path to the Portal Access can only be accessed using the Space Jump Boots. The hallway to the Crossroads is initially blocked by a large gate. This gate can be lowered using a nearby [[Bomb Slot]], which will also lower another gate that leads to the [[Transport Center]] in the Portal Site. There are no inhabitants when Samus first travels through the room, but during subsequent visits to Dark Aether, three [[Dark Pirate Trooper]]s attack her.
