Feeding Pit is a room in the Dark Agon Wastes in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It is the Dark Counterpart of Biostorage Station. The room connects Watering Hole, by a Blue Door, Ing Cache 1, by a Purple Hatch, and Feeding Pit Access, by a White Hatch. The door to the Watering Hole is behind a glass case, and so to access the door, the case must be navigated around.

Appearance and Navigation[edit | edit source]

The room consists of a pool of dark water in the center, surrounded by a walkway. This walkway has a number of Light Beacons around it. There are two pillars in the pool that are set by default very high, but they can be lowered by hitting two crystals with the Dark Beam. once lowered, a safe zone appears on the top. Samus can use these pillars to reach a ledge where the door to Ing Cache 1 is located. In addition, if Samus has the Light Suit, she can enter the dark water to find a Power Bomb Expansion.

Before Samus obtains the Light Beam, Two swarms of Nightbarbs fly around the pillars. Once Samus has the Light Beam, seven Lumites will replace them.

Upgrades[edit | edit source]
