The Battleground is a room in the Dark Agon Wastes. It is the Dark Aether counterpart to the Central Mining Station, and as such is extremely similar. The room connects the Warrior's Walk by a Green Blast Shield and to the Double Path by both a White Hatch and a Purple Hatch.

Appearance and Navigation[edit | edit source]

The room is sandy and rocky, with two separated levels. The lower level has a number of Light Beacons surrounding a Safe Zone in a round, arena-like area. When Samus first enters the room, there is a Dark Temple Key in the Safe Zone. However, when she attempts to grab it, she is ambushed by six Warrior Ing who must be defeated before she can get the key.

The upper level can only be accessed from the upper path of the Double Path, which in turn can only be accessed from the upper level of the Doomed Entry. There are a number of invisible platforms that can only be seen using the Dark Visor. The other end of the level has a Flying Ing Cache that contains a Sky Temple Key.
