The Sunburst is the Charge Combo for the Light Beam that appears in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It fires a slow moving sphere of light. If it passes by an enemy, a prominence will extend from the orb, igniting it. Like the Light Beam, Ing and Darklings are particularly vulnerable to it. Due to its slow speed, it is best used against slower targets. The Sunburst will travel until it impacts an object, causing it to explode.

The Sunburst can only be acquired after completing a transdimensional Spinner puzzle in the Grand Windchamber of Temple Grounds that spans over both Light and Dark Aether. When a set of Spinners on Dark Aether are used to manipulate corresponding rotating seals into alignment, and the Seeker Missile is used to destroy the five seals, the center of the chamber on Light Aether where the Sunburst rests becomes accessible.
