The ATCs are spacecrafts meant to quickly transport a group of Space Pirates to a battle zone, and then retreat. Although they have mediocre speed, they are heavily armored. These vehicles are extremely resilient if Samus is not [[Plasma Beam (Metroid Prime series)|well-armed]]. These vehicles' only weaknesses are their vents located at their fronts. When these vents are damaged and overheated, they will explode, destroying itself and its passengers.

The Space Pirate ATC, or the Space Pirate Armored Tactical Carrier, is a spacecraft encountered on Norion and Skytown in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.[1]

The Space Pirate ATC is described as being "surprisingly well built and armored". It was designed for rapid transits to and from hot zones, rather than long-term engagements. It comes equipped with Tribeam cannons, which help to provide defensive support while on missions. The ATC's heavier armaments and armor come at the cost of a small fuel supply.[1]

If ATCs stay for battle, their Tribeam cannon and defensive capabilities can deal significant damage to Samus. After placing the Theronian Bomb on SkyTown's Spire Dock, a group of Aerotroopers, as well as ATCs carrying Space Pirates, attack Samus to defend the Leviathan's shield. These ATCs attack Samus simultaneously from afar, while Space Pirates rush her in close combat.
