Serenity Class Drones are small mechanoid creatures which are programmed for maintenance tasks in the Sanctuary Fortress. Unlike other Luminoth mechanoids, the Serenity Class Drones have not fallen under control of the Ing due to their lack of offensive abilities. While they are not aggressive, Serenity Class Drones can damage Samus on contact.

The Serenity drones have not gone rogue. The units are defenseless, have no weapons, and cannot be eaten. These qualities make them useless to the Ing. The small drones are assigned simple maintenance tasks upon creation and perform them without hesitation until reassigned or destroyed.
