The Reaper Vine is a plant native to the Chozo Ruins on Tallon IV in Metroid Prime.
Info[edit | edit source]
Described as a "powerful rock-dwelling tentacle," Reaper Vines have a single eye that remains constantly alert. Though its vision is limited to ten meters, it will swing its scythe-like appendage at anything that enters its range of perception.[1] Reaper Vines also have an aquatic 'cousin' named Aqua Reapers, which have adapted to their aquatic setting. They utilize a crude sonar sense to hunt prey and are unhindered by their environment, having considerable speed and strength.[2]
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
If fired at with a shot from the Arm Cannon, the Reaper Vine will retract its eye into the hole it resides in. A charged shot from the Plasma Beam will successfully dispatch the Reaper Vine.
