Corrupted Sentreyes are Luminoth-built Mechanoids, once used to protect encampments on Dark Aether during their war with the Ing. They attack by firing a sustained energy beam, only stopping when stunned or destroyed. They are similar to the Eyons found on Tallon IV and are quite possibly based upon them. Unlike Eyons, which only fire their energy beams directly in front of them, Sentreye's will aim themselves at smaller targets, such as the Morph Ball.
Though their logbook entry says that these Mechanoids can only be destroyed by a charged blast from the Light Beam, most charged weaponry, along with the Screw Attack and Power Bombs, will destroy them easily.
