The Lava Lake is a room in the Magmoor Caverns and the location of the Artifact of Nature.[1] It is separated into two lava filled chambers, which can be accessed by traveling through a hidden tunnel with the Morph Ball. Like most rooms in Magmoor Caverns, the Lava Lake is extremely hot and will damage Samus if she does not have the Varia Suit.

The section closest to the Lake Tunnel is inhabited by two Magmoors and six Puffers. In the middle of the pool of lava is a pillar that can be destroyed to reveal the Artifact of Nature.[1] Located behind a group of crates is a damaged Sandstone wall that can be destroyed with a Morph Ball Bomb to access the second chamber.[2] The second, smaller chamber is connected to the Pit Tunnel. An additional six Puffers reside here.

Both chambers have Grapple Points which can be used to quickly travel through the room.
